In an increasingly complex and polarized era, identity has become a central issue in various aspects of life. Amidst the diversity, multiculturalism, and multi-ethnicity, there are a number of cultural identities that strengthen each other's regions. The cultural diversity was attempted to be united by the nation's founders through the Youth Pledge on October 28, 1982.
By young people from various regions, tribes, and organizations throughout Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote, agreeing that one homeland, one nation, and one language, namely Indonesia, however, does not kill local identity.
